AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is set to keep Rade Krunic and Matteo Gabbia in the starting eleven from the Chelsea game for the trip to face Hellas Verona on Sunday night.
The Rossoneri will want to make sure that there is no hangover from the 2-0 defeat against Chelsea at San Siro on Tuesday night in the Champions League. Facing a Verona team who are in the relegation zone will help but they have just appointed Salvatore Bocchetti as their new head coach.
In terms of who Pioli will be choosing to try and get the three points in Veneto, La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) think that the backline will once again be made up of Pierre Kalulu at right back, Matteo Gabbia and Fikayo Tomori in the middle and Theo Hernandez at left-back.
A return to the usual 4-2-3-1 formation seems to be on the cards with Ismael Bennacer and Sandro Tonali as the double pivot. They have Krunic down as the right winger, Brahim Diaz in the hole, and then Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud completing the attacking quartet.

Probable Verona XI (3-4-2-1): Montipò; Hien, Gunter, Cabal; Faraoni, Tameze, Veloso, Doig; Hrustic, Verdi; Henry.
I don’t really understand the imaginary contribution that Rade Krunic is making in this team because from the performance on the pitch, I honestly have not seen anything of that sort of spectacular display from Krunic to make him start over the likes of Pobega and even Adli. But I hope whatever the coach sees in him is enough to give us the solidity we need in the team right now.

More of a 433, yes. Not sure what GdS have been watching, but Krunic is not playing at RW, Diaz is. And Krunic isn’t playing as a n.10 either, but more as a box-to-box alongside Tonali, with Bennacer playing deeper.
I highly doubt the team will look like this. GdS are clueless. They can’t even tell that Diaz is playing as a RW, not Krunic.
We should see Rebic instead of Giroud and Messias instead of Krunic.
