GdS: Probable XIs for Milan vs. Spurs – Thiaw and Saelemaekers tipped to start

By Oliver Fisher -

There are a couple of changes to the predicted starting line-up for AC Milan’s game against Spurs tonight compared to what was being reported yesterday.

According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below), Milan should start with Ciprian Tatarusanu in goal protected by a three-man defence formed by Pierre Kalulu, Malick Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori.

Alexis Saelemaekers should be the right wing-back over captain Davide Calabria with Theo Hernandez on the opposite flank, while Sandro Tonali should be accompanied by Rade Krunic in midfield given Ismael Bennacer is still not 100%.

Then, the attacking trident should consist of Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao playing slightly behind the centre-forward Olivier Giroud in what is down as a 3-4-2-1 system, which is what Antonio Conte is expected to line Spurs up in too.

Probable Milan XI (3-4-2-1): Tatarusanu; Kalulu, Thiaw, Tomori; Saelemaekers, Krunic, Tonali, Theo Hernandez; Diaz, Leao; Giroud.

Probable Spurs XI (3-4-2-1): Forster; Romero, Dier, Lenglet; Emerson Royal, Skipp, Sarr, Perisic; Kulusevski, Son; kane.

  1. Except Krunic, this is the ideal starting 11 right now but i dont understand The choice for Krunic. Now that Thiaw is shining, it should be Vranckx turn. He has mad potential and if given the chance, could probably become the Kessie replacement we want and maybe even better. Dude is a warrior

  2. I think the choice looks good ,yes Thea and salamakers in their best positions …with Olivier Giroud up front with Rafeol leao …I think we have a great chance to beat Tottenham ..We are a good team I expect us to ready for this one ..
