GdS: Rafael Leao flies back home amid Coronavirus outbreak

By Isak Möller -

With the Coronavirus spreading quickly all over the world, sports have been brought to a halt. In Italy, which is considered a red area, a majority of the Rossoneri players are self-isolating in their homes.

In addition to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who flew back to Sweden on Thursday evening, Rafael Leao has also left the country. According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport, the youngster has returned back to Portugal where the situation is a bit calmer.

However, as mentioned, the virus is spreading quickly and it seems to be just a matter of time before most countries are like Italy. In other words, although the current plan is to resume the season in May, it could take a lot longer than that.

It remains to be seen what will happen to the current season, although it’s clear that there are more important things in life than sport. Therefore, until the emergency settles down, there is no need to speculate.
