Santiago Gimenez landed in Milan yesterday and is just an official announcement away from becoming an AC Milan player. Tonight, as highlighted by a report, he will be presented to the fans at San Siro.
The Derby della Madonnina between Milan and Inter is scheduled for tonight and while Gimenez won’t be on the pitch during the game, or on the bench for that matter, he will be in the stands. Finally, as highlighted by Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), the Rossoneri have their new striker.
By signing Gimenez and Kyle Walker, who is set to make his debut today, the feeling is that Milan have remedied the two obvious holes in the squad. There could still be more, depending on the mercato opportunities, but for now focus is on Gimenez.
Milan closed the deal with Feyenoord on Friday night and as per the pink newspaper, the transfer fee is €30m plus easy bonuses for a maximum of €35m. The contract will keep him at the club until 2029, with a salary of €2.5m net, and for Milan it’s a reasonable investment for such an important position.
It should be noted that last night wasn’t just special for his arrival, as Gimenez also celebrated the 44th birthday of his father. There is no time for celebrations, though, and the striker is currently undergoing his medical tests for the club.
Tonight, provided all goes well, he will be at San Siro where he will walk out on the pitch at around 17:00 to greet the Milan fans. His presentation to the media should be on Tuesday evening and then he will be on the bench against Roma in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday.

Hopefully he’ll be the striker we needed so much all these years
If we’d have offered that amount to begin with he’d probably be starting tonight! 🤷🏻♂️
Anyway, WE GOT HIM! Here’s to many great goals.
To be honest, 30 million plus bonuses is a great deal for us. Rotterdam let him go in January—they didn’t have to. They wanted to keep him for the last Champions League game, so they wouldn’t let him leave earlier.
Yep, all fair points
Tbf negotiation works when you open small and meet the lowered demands. Of you open with 35, it will end up costing 45. I’d say this is an excellent piece of buisness, given the way he has played for feynoord recent years. Low salary too. Credit to the negotiators for this one. Now its up to the player to step up. And give this man some good service, hopefully a CAM with Ødegaard-esqe features.
I agree. They would have ended up paying way more if the opening bids were over 30M€.
“Embarrassing” or not (as people have been yelling here for quite some time now) what matters is that he’ll be ours and we didn’t overpay. And no one will remember what the initial bid was. Embarrassing? Not really. They got the deal.
I’m still not saying Furlani is the best but I’m saying that opening with a low bid worked and we got him.
Fair.
I still don’t trust the management. Hope for the best for my Milan.

So we just doubled the amount we spent on strikers over THE LAST 10 YEARS on one player…
Was Andre Silva 10 years ago? Piatek? Oh right, nope.
But yeah, I got your point though.
I wonder what type of FaNS We have in this Blog. WeNeed to appreciate. So many things have different problems. Zirkzee was over Hype and also flop. Dobyk is also struggling in scoring. What really matters in a Team is consistently and luck. The Management listen to the Noise of the FANS but,Pretended as if they don’t. Forza milan ♥️
If Zirkzee is struggling in England, it doesn’t mean he would have been struggling in Milan.
No young striker has done well in Milan since Giladino.
I hope he does well.
