GdS: Sassuolo propose idea of Cutrone-Sensi swap deal to Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Sassuolo have proposed a swap deal involving midfielder Stefano Sensi and forward Patrick Cutrone to AC Milan, a report claims.

Links between Sensi and the Rossoneri intensified earlier in the week when the player’s agent Giuseppe Riso met with Paolo Maldini at Casa Milan.

The Italy international is believed to be a target for Milan this summer as they look to secure vital midfield depth following the departures of Tiemoue Bakayoko, Riccardo Montolivo, Jose Mauri and Andrea Bertolacci – plus doubts over Lucas Biglia’s long-term future.

Sensi is apparently valued at around €25m by Sassuolo, however the Diavolo for their part see him as attainable at around a €15m figure.

According to Thursday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, a swap deal has been proposed by the Neroverdi which would see Milan striker Cutrone head in the other direction.

Reports had indicated that Milan were willing to use Cutrone as a counterpart in a deal for Nicolo Barella, however given his valuation is much higher than that of Sensi it seems unlikely a straight swap with Sassuolo would be on the cards.

  1. Milan values Sensi at 15M because Sassuolo still owes money from Locatelli switch. If you add that then Milan would meet 25M requested by Sassuolo. Cutrone should be used in bringing players from smaller teams like this try with Barella since he won’t be useful in Giampaolo formation.
