GdS: Six players Pioli will rely on in Milan’s season finale – from Tonali to Giroud

By Isak Möller -

Milan have just four games left of their season and are currently in charge of the Scudetto race. The pressure is on the Rossoneri to deliver, therefore, and Stefano Pioli has a few players he will rely on a little extra.

Thanks to their win at Lazio, and Inter’s loss mid-week to Bologna, Milan are two points ahead of their city rivals and have everything in their own hands. The season finale, therefore, promises to be an exciting one for the Rossoneri.

As per Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), there are a few players Pioli relies on a little extra. Sandro Tonali, Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud are the most important keys for the manager, having become undisputed starters.

However, there are also a few others that deserve mentioning. Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be a key player this season finale and he has already displayed his importance, getting the crucial assist vs. Lazio. The same goes for Ante Rebic, who won back the ball just before his Rebic-esque determination that no one else can match.

Finally, it’s been an uphill battle for Franck Kessie this season but there’s no denying that he’s one of the most important players in the XI. That is how the newspaper concludes the analysis of what will be a special finale for Milan.
