AC Milan could send Diego Laxalt to SPAL in exchange for former striker Andrea Petagna, a report claims.
Petagna scored 16 goals in 36 appearances for SPAL last season, who he joined on loan from Atalanta before making his move permanent on July 1.
The 24-year-old came through Milan’s Primavera system but only ever made three appearances for the senior side before being offloaded.
Despite this, it was reported on Wednesday that the Rossoneri were offered the chance to bring him back to the club by agent Beppe Riso.
The report – from il Corriere della Sera – claimed that the chance was rejected by Milan, but La Gazzetta dello Sport provide an update.
They state that Petagna ‘could be ready to try again at Milan, where he never found space in the past’.
The paper hints that any deal could involve Diego Laxalt going the other way, with SPAL desperate for a full-back following the serious injury to Fares.
