GdS: The game Pioli expects to have Kjaer and Messias back for

By Oliver Fisher -

Stefano Pioli will have to wait a little bit longer before he can welcome back two players who are currently injured, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) confirms that the games against Juventus and Chelsea in the new few days will come a bit too soon for both centre-back Simon Kjaer and winger Junior Messias.

The duo are struggling with muscle problems that forced them to miss the first match against Chelsea in midweek. The Brazilian still needs a few days to get rid of his calf problem and get back training with the squad, while the Dane’s right hamstring is getting better.

Both Kjaer and Messias will miss the next two games, but then both are expected to return for the game against Hellas Verona on 16 October at the Stadio MarcAntonio Bentegodi which will be a big boost for Pioli given the lack of depth at the moment.
