GdS: Three-year deal and €75m budget ready for Rangnick – why everything is on hold

By Oliver Fisher -

Ralf Rangnick will have a sizeable budget to work with in his first summer as AC Milan’s new manager, according to a report.

There has been an abundance of speculation in the media suggesting that the German is the man chosen by Elliott Management Corporation to launch a new youth-oriented revolution at Milan this summer.

We reported via our correspondent Vito Angele last month that Rangnick will indeed agree a role as manager – that is the double responsibility of head coach and the man in charge of the transfer market.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday (via Calciomercato.com), there is a three-year agreement in place between the Rossoneri and Rangnick.

In addition, he will start the summer with a budget of €75million plus half of the proceeds from possible sales. However, for now everything remains theoretical as Milan does not want to disturb Stefano Pioli’s work and have not authorised the 62-year-old to enter the operational phase out of respect.
