GdS: UCL qualification key in Milan’s attempt to sign €22m man from Real Madrid

By Oliver Fisher -

Brahim Diaz’s future is yet to be written and at the moment the only certainty is that the Spaniard’s loan from Real Madrid to Milan will expire on 30 June.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) speaks about the future of Brahim Diaz, stating that qualifying for the next edition of the Champions League will be crucial in any chances of the playmaker staying beyond his loan.

A fee of €22m must be paid to sign Brahim permanently and only if the Rossoneri qualify for the next edition Champions League will his permanent arrival become a serious and concrete option.

The agents of the former Manchester City man will soon meet both Real and Milan to talk about the future of their client, who has never hidden that he is happy at Milanello, but at the same time would like his future resolving in a more permanent way.

At the end of the 5-1 win over Sampdoria Sampdoria – a match in which he scored a goal and added two assists – Diaz declared: “Milan is incredible for me and I’m happy here, I can say this. I’m a Milan supporter. I don’t want to talk about the future and this is not the time, I can’t say anything because I know nothing.”

His season had several ups and downs, but his contributions have been still important. Now there are still two games in which he will have the opportunity to contribute to Milan qualifying for the next Champions League, then the time will come to make a decision on his future.

  1. Just one good performance against a struggling side, now Diaz is giving a condition. hell no. Let him go to Real. If .Maldini signs Diaz. Maldini has lost his grip!!!

  2. Just one good performance against a struggling side? Seriously? Are you dumb or something?

Tottenham? Juventus? Napoli in the league and the champions league? In fact if the remaining attackers had Brahim’s season, we’d be assured 2nd atleast by now.
Just shut up. You’re not the first to lose a CL semi finals.
