Theo Hernandez scored one of the goals of the season for AC Milan on Sunday night as he went from box to box against Atalanta to double the Rossoneri’s advantage.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes how it was once again Rafael Leao who broke the deadlock with his 11th goal in the league and while the away side poured forward in search of a draw, with Duvan Zapata having chances, Theo Hernandez closed the match with an incredible solo run.
The Rossoneri No.19 took the ball at the edge of the Milan box, then left with it at great speed and brought it forward for 93 metres, beating several opponents and finishing with a perfect angled shot past Musso.
It certainly has shades of the goal scored on 8 September 1996 by George Weah against Hellas Verona, again at the San Siro. Theo scored it in front of his son who was born a few weeks ago.
After the game, he remarked: “It is the most important goal of my life and I dedicate it to my son. The Scudetto? It’s a not far away, we have to give everything and that’s it.”
Puskás Award candidate for sure!
@Sheva, you just spoke my mind Bro.
It’s really a worthy candidate.
Theo’s goal deserves the PUSKAS AWARD.
Hopefully he’s going to win it…. FORZA MILAN PER SEMPRE ♥️🖤
I saw Weah goal live.. this goal wasn’t far off it

Hope his son is at Sassuolo as well.
