GdS: Update arrives on Milan’s pursuit of €25m Chelsea and Arsenal target Szoboszlai

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have cooled their interest in Dominik Szoboszlai slightly, a report claims, but he remains on their list of midfield targets.

The Rossoneri continue to be linked with moves for a number of different midfielders ahead of what promises to be a fascinating summer window, and La Gazzetta dello Sport have provided updates on a number of targets including Sandro Tonali, Florentino Luis and Marc Roca.

Szoboszlai is a player that Milan have been repeatedly linked with a move for over last few weeks as speculation suggested that Rangnick – a Red Bull employee – was set to join Milan as the club’s new manager.

However, Calciomercato.com are among the outlets that have suggested that the Milan management remain keen on the idea of signing Szoboszlai, who is now attracting interest from Arsenal and Chelsea as well as PSG.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport’s update on Monday, the Szoboszlai hypothesis has cooled for obvious reasons as Rangnick will no longer coach the Rossoneri, and the German has been a mentor for the teenager.

Despite this, the interest of the Milan management remains alive, given that Szoboszlai was being followed even when Zvonimir Boban was still at the club. He would cost around €25million.
