AC Milan’s centre-back search continues, with just two weeks left of the transfer window. Several names have been linked with the Rossoneri and one of them is Nicolo Casale, who currently plays for Hellas Verona.
The 23-year-old has impressed this season and has registered 20 appearances in the league, starting in 16 of them. He’s used to the league, in other words, and his performances thus far suggest that he could become a very good player.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), the youngster is one of the players on Milan’s radar and unlike Eric Bailly and Abdou Diallo, he falls in a different category: he’s young, Italian, and has Serie A experience.
However, Hellas Verona are unwilling to part ways with Casale on loan with an option to buy, which is what Milan what. The defender has a €10m price tag and it’s the usual problem for the Rossoneri, therefore.

We absolutely need a CB, or we are f*cked!
Why? A few matches and Romagnoli is back, a few more and Tomori is back, leaving us with 4 fit center backs if we include Kalulu and he was great. You think if they buy someone they will be ready tacticaly to play against Inter or Juventus? Not really, the time it takes to adapt to the club and league and the playing system is longer than Romagnoli will be out.
Romagnoli is back after next game he’s been awaiting a negative result for days now so he will be back after the spezia game… Tomori will be back in 3-4 weeks and we have kalulu and Gabbia wtf do we need to spend $ on a CB for when we need a ACM and RW alot more than a CB
Kalulu is good, but he’s not a real CB. Gabbia and Romagnoli are serie b worthy. Tomorri out (and with italian doctors you never know when he will be back), Kjaer out for the season, and you tell me we don’t need a decent CB…Gabbia and Kalulu played ok againt Venezia, wait until they have Inter or Juve as opponents, you will see that we absolutely need at lease one CB ASAP
He seems more like a summer signing, the right profile to replace Romagnoli. I like that Milan are committed to protecting themselves with a loan/option on these unproven players.
we will have kjaer in summer and he promises to be more stronger and i trust him. He knows how to be a leader and play best in his CB department.
