Stefano Pioli may be able to call upon Olivier Giroud for tomorrow’s game against Venezia after all, according to a report.
According to the latest from il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), Giroud – who missed the match against Juventus due to back pain – is better and could be back at Pioli’s disposal for tomorrow’s match against Venezia at San Siro.
There will be a training session held today at Milanello and a decision will be made after that on a potential call-up, but the one certainty is that at most he would be on the bench, perhaps ready to play an important role as an impact sub given the lack of attacking depth at the moment.
At the moment Pioli can really only call upon Ante Rebic and Pietro Pellegri for the centre-forward position with Ibrahimovic out due to Achilles tendon pain.
