Olivier Giroud has insisted that AC Milan and their supporters should believe in winning the Scudetto, which has become an obsession for the players.
Giroud was decisive in the recent win against Lazio as he scored an equaliser early in the second half that set the scene for the late winner, and he spoke to Milan TV about that game and the games to come, with his comments relayed by PianetaMilan.
On the match against Lazio: “We showed a great team spirit which is never giving up, always believing in it and that we can win the game. So it’s even more beautiful, it’s a crazy emotion, with ten thousand Milan fans at the Olimpico. We played well and we believed in winning until the end. As I always say, it happens to those who believe in it.”
On the rest of the season: “This is a moment, at the end of the season, where we obviously have a little more pressure. But I think the group is very focused on the goal which is to win the next game. We have all the players to dream. We think, eat and breathe this Scudetto.
“We are there, we all want to win it, we cannot hide. If I don’t do score and if another player does it, that’s okay for me. I just want Milan to win and I hope this season finale it will be great for the fans and that we live a unique story together.”
"Always believe!” 👊
