Tuttosport: Giroud will be asked to work overtime again as he seeks Milan milestone

By Oliver Fisher -

Olivier Giroud is being asked to work overtime at the moment and that will continue with AC Milan’s opening Champions League game against Red Bull Salzburg today, a report claims.

According to a report from Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Stefano Pioli has only one line-up doubt and it is whether Alexis Saelemaekers or Junior Messias will play as the right winger, with the Belgian seeming to have the advantage at the moment.

One certainty is that the attack will be led by Giroud as the Frenchman will be preferred to Divock Origi, who should still come off the bench in the second half. The ex-Chelsea man has scored several important goals since joining but is yet to score in the Champions League.

Charles De Ketelaere and Rafael Leao should complete the attacking department while the rest of the XI should be the same as it was against Inter with Mike Maignan, Davide Calabria, Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez at the back plus Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer in midfield.
