Juventus defender Merih Demiral will not be leaving the club this summer despite strong links with a move to Milan, a report claims.
Reports back in July from RAI Sport (via Football Italia) first claimed that Demiral could potentially join the Rossoneri, with the Italian outlet suggesting that a loan deal was possible.
After speculation went quiet, Sky Italia – as cited by Milannews.it – then stated on Monday that it was possible Milan could make a move for the Turkey international, who is valued at €35m.
SportMediaset then made the audacious claim that a swap deal involving Suso and Demiral could be on the cards.
The reliable Gianluca Di Marzio then reported that (via MilanNews.it) that there is an opening for a possible deal, as Demiral’s agents have given Milan priority if he were to leave Turin.
However, Goal Italia have given their understanding of the situation and have claimed that the 21-year-old will indeed stay at Juve.
They state that Milan made several attempts to try and sign Demiral, however Maurizio Sarri wants him to stay and as such it now looks likely that Daniele Rugani will move to Roma.
