Hammarby speak out on Ibrahimovic: “We have some communications to make this week”

By Oliver Fisher -

Swedish club Hammarby have broken silence on the shock video that appeared to hint that they will sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

We reported last week that the 38-year-old is Milan’s main target for the January transfer window, with Paolo Maldini and Zvonomir Boban determined to fix the goalscoring and leadership problems that the team has in one swoop.

Fans’ hopes were boosted when on Monday Rai Sport (as cited by MilanNews.it) reported that Ibrahimovic is seriously considering a return to Milan due to his love for the city.

However, a shock arrived on Tuesday morning when the former PSG and Manchester United man posted a video on social media with his name on the back of a Hammarby shirt, seemingly hinting at his next destination and causing a frenzy in the media.

Now, the club themselves have offered comment on the post in newspaper Svenska Dagbladet through communications director Love Gustafsson.

“It’s amazing, but at the moment there are no official comments,” he said (via MilanNews.it).

“We have some communications to make this week, but for the moment I have nothing else to say.”
