Napoli and AC Milan will contest the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tonight not only hoping to secure some sporting prestige but also a big revenue boost.
As this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport writes (via MilanNews), making it to the semi-finals of the Champions League would be a big boost to the project of both sides because it would guarantee some sizeable revenues.
Getting into the final four of the competition is worth around €12m in terms of prize money, but what must be added to that is the matchday revenues from the home match including ticket sales.
As a result, total taking of around €25m could reasonably be expected for the Rossoneri if they were to get the job done in the second leg tonight in Naples and set up a clash in the semis with either city rivals Inter or Benfica.
That would almost pay off Origis 4 years on the bench!
Optimistic we will go to semifinal facing benfica
Love to play against inter in the semi because always beat them when it’s matter
