As the Christmas break is well underway, it’s time to take a look at how the AC Milan loanees have performed so far this season. Disregarding some of the youngsters, the Rossoneri have six players out on loan.
André Silva (Eintracht Frankfurt): The Portuguese got off to a good start, scoring 3 goals in his first 4 games with the team. Then, he missed two games due to injury and hasn’t scored since.
Just like with Sevilla, the start was very strong, but the rest subpar. Therefore, he risks heading down the same path if he doesn’t react soon. Overall, he has made 16 appearances with the German side so far.
Alessandro Plizzari (Livorno): The 19-year-old goalkeeper moved to Serie B on loan to play continuously, but he has only found space in the last 4 games as a starter. In total, he has five appearances with the club, but 2020 is expected to be his year to shine.
Alen Halilovic (Heerenveen): The Croatian was supposed to be on a two-year loan at Standard Liège, but the Belgian side preferred to get rid of him after just a few months. Therefore, he ended up in the Netherlands instead.
He has made 13 appearances (2 from start) and 1 assist in the league. He has also featured for Croatia’s U21 team. However, he continues to struggle to show his qualities, after showing great promise at a very young age.
Diego Laxalt (Torino): He was signed for €500K with a buy-out set at €11.5m, but so far, the former Genoa man isn’t impressing. His performances haven’t been good enough and therefore, Torino are inclined to send him back to Milan.
The Uruguayan has made 12 appearances this season (3 from start), registering one assist. Of course, as Cristian Alsaldi is performing fantastically on the left flank, it’s hard for Laxalt to assert himself.
Franck Tsadjout (Charleroi): The youngster has found little space in Belgium, making just 4 appearances so far this season, adding up to 21 minutes on the pitch. Therefore, it will probably be for the best to change teams in January.
Tommaso Pobega (Pordenone): The operation allows the Serie B side to sign the midfielder permanently at the end of the season, but Milan also have a buy-back clause. The 20-year-old has had a very good season thus far.
In 13 appearances, Pobega has added 4 goals and 3 assists to his name. He has played 11 of the games from start, which is a sign of trust from the manager. Of course, he has interesting potential.
