Ibrahimovic ahead of Celtic clash: “We can’t relax or think that everything is fine”

By Isak Möller -

In just a few minutes time, Milan’s clash against Celtic will kick off at San Siro, with the Rossoneri hoping to continue their good run of form with a win as they could secure their spot in the knockout phase.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as we all know, is still recovering from the injury he sustained against Napoli. The Rossoneri have continued to win without him, fortunately, most recently beating Fiorentina 2-0 at home.

There’s no doubt it will be a major boost once he returns, though, and it seems he will be available for the game against Parma.  Ahead of tonight’s game, when interviewed by Sky Italia (via MilanNews), the Swede had his say on the situation.

“Everyone knows that we are doing well, but nobody is thinking about the goals. Everything that comes is a bonus, we will see what happens.

“We can’t relax or think that everything is fine, we have to continue. We can’t be satisfied yet. It’s one thing to play games, it’s another to win to reach a goal,” he concluded.

After the 1-2 win at Celtic Park in the reverse fixture, Milan will be hoping for a more convincing scoreline this evening as the Scottish side haven’t done particularly well lately. Ante Rebic, as expected, will fill in for Ibrahimovic up front.
