Di Marzio: Ibrahimovic’s fixed salary this season will be just €1m – the details

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will soon renew his contract with AC Milan as an agreement has been reached on the salary. It will be a significant drop for the Swede, obviously due to the serious injury he’s recovering from.

The 40-year-old, who will turn 41 in October, underwent surgery earlier this summer and will be out of action until the beginning of 2023. This means that Milan will have to rely on the likes of Olivier Giroud and Divock Origi until then.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio (via SempreMilan.it), the Rossoneri have reached an agreement with Ibrahimovic on the one-year contract extension. The fixed part of the contract will be worth €1m, while the rest will be bonuses linked to goals and assists.

Once Ibrahimovic is back, therefore, there will be great incentives to find the back of the net. Of course, he doesn’t need the money to show his desire and it’s clear that he wants to prove everyone wrong by showing his strength.
