Longo: Forfeiting the Youth Sector – why Ibrahimovic is still against Rangnick’s hiring

AC Milan could resolve their issues with hiring a new sporting director easily, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s stalling point being revealed.

It has been proven recently that Ibrahimovic is the issue when it comes to appointing Ralf Rangnick. Indeed, the Swede has been heavily against his appointment, largely to ensure that he keeps some control at the club.

However, it may be wearing down.

Ibrahimovic’s issue revealed

In the recent moments, Daniele Longo has reported that Ibra’s issue is not actually with Rangnick, but rather the loss of his influence over the Youth Sector side of things. Considering his relationship with Jovan Kirokvski, this is somewhat understandable.

It seems, from Longo’s report, that this is the only issue between the parties. So, if this were to be resolved, then Cardinale could confirm Rangnick as the new technical director shortly, given the recent reports of a decision being expected this weekend.

It has been reported heavily that Ibra is backing Kirovski, so this is only a continuation of this, really. However, it remains to be seen if the two will allow Rangnick to come into the role… Considering the German’s experience with the Red Bull project, he would be a prime candidate to take on that responsibility.

  1. Cause Ibra with his lover Kirovski did wonderful things for our youth sector. I bet Abate got jealouse seeing Ibra with Kirovski and so needed to leave, lol.

    1. Not everyone could have managed to get the team relegated to Serie D after all that hard work getting a team in Serie C first. 🙂

  2. Those is all the more reason to bring him in. Ibras brain dead ahh is literally sabotaging the club for his own fragile ego. Get him out and get rangnick signed already. Literally no excuses to not finalize the deal and then let him finish the tournament with Austria knowing he’s walking into the job and can get the ball rolling immediately after

  3. Milan Futuro demotion and still stuck in Serie D, multiple talents left essentially for free, with major regrets for Liberali.
    Yeah, great track record.

  4. He wants his talentless son Max to play and get all the coaching love.
Abate had refuse to play Max, so Ibra fired him
Ibra singlehandedly destroyed a once great youth project.
Ibra absolutely must be shut out of all team personnel decisions at Milan
    IBRA OUT!

    1. And then abate went on to get a team promoted from serie C to B, almost got Juve B promoted to the FIRST TIER, and now earned the job with Torino. Meanwhile the guy Ibra backed got us relegated and failed to promote back up miserably…

    2. It has nothing to do with his son, stop making things up and Max was one of the better players when he was in the team.

  5. So Gerry-boy… Which these two has shown any competence in developing young players: Zlatan or Rangnick? It should be an easy question even for someone who doesn’t understand ANYTHING about football (eh, sorry, soccer). 🙄🤣

  6. Hwo the f*ck this f*cking ibrahimovic is? Is he own the club share?? Come on! He is the reason for last season failure!! Just get him rid!!

  7. When we compare Red Bull CV and Ibra achievement it’s a no brainer that Ragnick should get the job, although Ibra only have short experience at the job

  8. Nepotism. Kirovski isn’t qualified for the role. If Cardinale wants to appoint Rangnick, he will. You’re overplaying the influence Ibrahimovic has. Remember, they made him disappear in the middle of the season before last.
