Zlatan Ibrahimovic took on the role of leading journalist during AC Milan’s coach journey back to Reggio Emilia after winning the Scudetto on Sunday.
Spirits were high as can be heard from the clanking of beer bottles while the Swede talks to some of his team-mates, including Rafael Leao, Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud who all had a big hand in the title win.
On Leao: “Our phenomenon and our future. There are no more words. You have had an extraordinary year. Now down to earth and work even more because this is only the beginning.”
On Tomori: “He came from England, he didn’t know Italian, but he had an incredible impact, as fast as a leopard.”
On Giroud: “Before his arrival, the number 9 shirt was a taboo. But he arrived and broke everything. Congratulations Oli, even against Sassuolo he scored two goals. He was always there.”
On Saelemaekers: “When I met you you were just a child. You made so many sacrifices and you deserve all of this.”
On Theo: “He scored the goal of the year. He improves match after match and there is no limit for him.”
