TMW: Ibrahimovic could join Raiola’s agency if he retires from playing

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s future beyond this season could be as part of Mino Raiola’s agency after he passed away aged 54 yesterday after a battle with cancer.

TMW report how Raiola completely revolutionised the role of sports agent and his clients had loyalty to him for a reason, but not they will be managed by an agency rather than by the man behind it all.

The will of the Raiola family – and above all that of the children who are now completing their studies and could join in the future – is to carry on the agency. It will be entrusted to Mino’s cousin Vincenzo Raiola, who has for the last 15 years followed Mino step by step in all negotiations.

He is recognised by all the players of the agency as the natural heir of his cousin Mino. Meanwhile, the report adds that starting next summer a charismatic figure like that of Zlatan Ibrahimovic could enter the agency.

With the death of Mino Raiola it could be that the Milan centre-forward – who will soon make a decision on whether or not to continue his career as a player – may pick up a role in the agency.
