Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s return to AC Milan has been a topic of speculation for many weeks. On December 11th, RedBird and Milan announced his return. Following this, some light has already been shed on the role he will take on his return.
Partnering the speculation about his return was also what role he will have in the club. Milan and RedBird revealed that he will hold a double role as an ‘Operating partner’ with RedBird and then as a ‘Senior Advisor to the ownership and Senior Management of Milan’.
So, what does that mean in terms of what Ibra can do?
Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes that the Swede will be a ‘super-consultant’ in his role, having the ability to have a say in anything that happens regarding the Rossoneri. Firstly, this includes mercato-related topics, where the former striker will be a great point of reference following his experience in the game.
Alongside this, the 42-year-old will act as a support network for the coaches and players. It was not uncommon to see Paolo Maldini at Milanello, and whilst their roles differ, their legacy at Milan and leadership qualities are similar, which means that Ibra can offer himself as an extra pair of ears to listen to issues or an extra pair of eyes to spot issues that have not yet been identified.
Zlatan returns because the bald guy has totally lost the dressing room and the players are also feeling lost as a result. They are making the bald guy look like a tactical genius that is so extremely good at tactics while having zero interpersonal skills. Milan have to hire this tactical genius for the club’s success while spending extra for a caretaker like Zlatan. What the hell.
Zlatan returns because RedBird made a mistake letting Maldini go and are feeling the impact.
