GdS: Ibrahimovic’s recovery delayed again as Achilles issue persists – when he should return

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s recovery time has been delayed yet again as the striker is now not set to return until after the upcoming international break, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes how Ibrahimovic has a strong desire to return but the Swede has not yet begun working with the rest of the squad in training against. The Achilles tendon discomfort is still there, so the likeliest outcome now is that he returns Stefano Pioli’s disposal only after the international break, which will come after Sunday’s game against Atalanta.

Those two weeks of break will be used by the 39-year-old fully recover from his physical problem and try to get back in full shape for the tough games that await in Serie A and the Champions League.

Ibra will turn 40 next month and knows that he will have to listen to his body more, while the home match against Verona after the international break could be a good ‘test drive’ of sorts in view of the subsequent Champions League match against Porto.

  1. I’m 100% agreed with Arrigo Sacchi that Milan should take risk at the certain stages.I mean we should go for a complete and youn striker like Halaand or Vlahovic to in order to forget such a striking issues

    1. Don’t worry man, he is not a human for sure. Will play for another 3years maybe less matches.

But didn’t think of watching football without Zlatannnn.
