Mediaset: First discussions held over extension of Ibra’s deal – when a decision will be made

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s future was also talked about during this morning’s meeting with agent Mino Raiola, according to a report.

The well-known journalist Claudio Raimondi has given an update to SportMediaset (via MilanNews) during which he spoke about the future of the Swede. He confirmed that the meeting with Raiola was mainly to officially discuss the renewal of Alessio Romagnoli, but a first discussion was also held regarding Ibrahimovic.

The will of the Rossoneri management and also of the striker is to continue together for another season, but the issue will only be talked about in a concrete nature in the spring after a clearer picture of the 40-year-old’s physical condition is known, given his injury problems since returning.

It has been shown that Ibra can still make a difference at the highest level but he must be managed carefully in terms of work load. Speaking of which, Stefano Pioli plans to start him against Atletico Madrid, while versus Fiorentina he should go with Olivier Giroud.

  1. This is ridiculous, Milan shouldn’t sign a renewal. Just get a younger player. Ibra for most part of the season is usually on the bench.

    1. Name one striker who can do what Ibra does that doesnt cost alot?

      Skills, leadership, goals etc

Please dont be ungrateful against the lion.

  2. Ac Milan must renew with Zlatan for 1 more year even if he won’t kick a ball. He has Presence & influence on the team along side, coach Pioli & Maldini. Forza Milan
