Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s return to training sessions has had an impact on the recent turnaround at AC Milan, according to a report.
Milan went through a crisis in the early part of 2023 as they went on a run of seven games without a win, but they are now on a three-game run of 1-0 victories which has restored some confidence even if the performances have not been vintage.
Tuttosport (via MilanNews) report that the excellent work by Stefano Pioli and the tactical choices he has made is of course behind Milan’s mini-revival, but there is another thing that has been fundamental in getting out of the difficult moment, namely Zlatan’s return to the group.
The Swede’s presence in training sessions alone raised the pace of the work being done and while Ibra is still far from his best condition after so long out, he is still able to make an impact. Pioli has not been able to field him just yet, but that too could come in time.
