Massimiliano Allegri is keen on getting his move to Napoli over the line and could consider foregoing any severance payment, according to a report.
Gerry Cardinale sacked Allegri after Milan’s failure to qualify for the Champions League, announcing the decision the day after the Cagliari defeat. Since then, it has been a tug of war between the parties regarding the contract.

The Milan owner believes that Allegri reached an agreement with Napoli before the end of the season, and that he thus shouldn’t be paid any severance package upon termination. The manager, meanwhile, has asked for €2m for himself and €3m for his staff.
Allegri dropping his demands?
According to Il Mattino, as cited by Calciomercato.com, the situation hasn’t been unblocked yet and Allegri is now considering terminating his deal by mutual consent. In other words, he could drop his severance demands altogether to get the move through.
It has previously been reported that Cardinale is frustrated by Allegri’s behaviour and won’t back down in the negotiations. Furthermore, it has been said that the American has been slow to reply to Allegri’s lawyers, prioritising other matters.
It seems that strategy, if it is one, could pay off with Allegri caving.
Now, can we get Allegri pay ACM for the damage he’s done? Just sort of joking.

This is one of the worst managers we had. Above the fact he already had an agreement with Napoli before the season ended he has the audacity to ask for 5 million! Either don’t take anything or dont coach Napoli and I’m sure no other big team will want him in the future if he sits out for a year
