Sky: Inter star Lukaku at risk of missing Milan derby through injury

By Euan Burns -

Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is at risk of missing the derby against AC Milan next weekend through injury, according to a report.

As has been reported by Sky Sport Italia (via Milan News), the Belgian forward has suffered a thigh strain and his participation in the match on September 3 is now in doubt.

He started Inter’s 3-1 defeat against Lazio on Friday evening but struggled to make an impact. He was taken off in the second half although it did not seem to be down to injury.

The injury took place in Sunday morning’s training session at Appiano Gentile and there will be more tests carried out on him in the next few hours of the day.

It is seen as virtually certain that he will miss their game against Cremonese on Tuesday but that then begs the question as to whether he will be back for the Derby della Madonnina on September 3.

    1. Correa smoked us last season, without him their game is more fluid and Lautaro is their topstriker anyways, jealous that we don’t have him, he’s so good

  1. last time I checked Lukaku still does not walk on water, who gives a rats hind end if he plays or not, we still have to play well.
