AC Milan are determined to add another striker to their ranks this summer, and whilst they have a target in mind, a mercato intermediary has suggested that there is a possibility that a former Inter striker will join the club.
In the months leading up to the mercato opening, there were suggestions that Milan would look to have a three-striker department in the upcoming season, and there are still plans for two additions to be made to make it a three-prong attack, but whether a prong will leave remains to be seen.
Another idea kept repeating: Mauro Icardi could be a potential arrival, and reports suggested that he could be the heir to Olivier Giroud after the Frenchman announced his departure, but in the following months, the links went quiet, at least until now.
Today, when speaking to Calciomercato.it, Michele Fratini, a mercato intermediary has claimed that there is a possibility that the Argentine striker could join the Diavolo, and his words have been relayed by Pianeta Milan.
“In goal, AC Milan are evaluating Monza’s Alessio Cragno: there is little talk of him, but two years ago he reached the national team. Then everyone is looking for a striker: Milan are now silent, but are we sure they won’t take Mauro Icardi in the end?
“Napoli themselves, who obviously have their sights set on Lukaku with Conte, might give it a thought. For me, Milan and Napoli will be competing for the Galatasaray striker.”
Won’t happen but I’d be very happy if it did, at least on a loan deal with a point to prove
the point being he would sit with a 6M net salary for Morata?
