Inter’s Lukaku takes another shot at Ibrahimovic: “Between him and me I choose me”

By Oliver Fisher -

Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has once again chimed in about AC Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic as their war of words continues.

Ibrahimovic and Lukaku dominated the headlines earlier this year when the pair had a very heated altercation during the Coppa Italia quarter-final meeting between the two sides at San Siro. The Swede said something which certainly rattled the Belgian, who had to be calmed by his team-mates as the half-time whistle blew.

After their altercation earlier in the year, Lukaku hit out at Ibrahimovic who declared himself the ‘God of Milan’ in response to the Belgian declaring himself the ‘King’ of the city previously. “The real god has crowned the king! Now bow down,” Lukaku said in a tweet. The war of words has continued since, but it has mostly been the Belgian taking random snipes at Ibra.

Lukaku is preparing for Euro 2020 with Belgium and he spoke to hln.be about a number of different topics, including being asked who he would choose between Diego Maradona and Didier Drogba.

“Drogba. Because I saw him play and he made me dream,” he said (via MilanLive).

The former Manchester United man was asked who he chose between himself and Ibrahimovic, and his answer was unequivocal: “Between him and me I choose me. Every day of the week. I love myself (laughs).”

  1. I would choose Lukaku asweel he’s better now that’s obvious. Ibra in his prime was a god but guys he’s 40 and injured.

    1. Even if he is 40 I would still choose Ibrahimovic.
There is a lot of attacker’s that I would rather have in my team then Lukaku.
