Investcorp are moving quickly in their talks to become the new owners of AC Milan and they already have plans regarding the management, a report claims.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes how many are wondering instead what the future of the current sporting area will be if Investcorp do take control of the club from Elliott Management, given that it is natural for them to want people they know and trust in positions of power.
However, technical director Paolo Maldini – whose contract will expire on 30 June – is not expected to leave the club and instead will have his deal extended. The former club captain has done excellent job done in recent years and the Bahrain-based fund do not intend to kick out a legend like him as their first action.
Not only that, but Maldini is an icon all over the world including in the Middle East where fans still associate him with the great sides, and therefore Investcorp absolutely do not want to let him go.
