Inzaghi warns Inter must approach Milan clash with respect: “The derby is unique”

By Isak Möller -

On the eve of Inter’s encounter with AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina, Simone Inzaghi spoke to the media at his usual pre-match conference. He reiterated that they need to approach the game with respect.

Given Milan’s shocking form lately, conceding 12 goals in the last three games, Inter are the clear favourites heading into this game. This is highlighted by the fact that the Nerazzurri beat their city rivals 3-0 in the Supercoppa a few weeks back.

However, as Inzaghi addressed the media earlier today, he stated that his players need to approach the game with the utmost respect. Even though Milan are in a tough moment, they are still the champions of Italy.

“The derby is unique, Milan are not in a positive moment but they are the Italian champions and are also in the last 16 of the Champions League. They have quality, I respect them a lot and we have to approach the game with quality, determination and attention,” he said as cited by FCInterNews.

Kick-off is scheduled for 20:45 CET and it should be a good atmosphere underneath the floodlights at San Siro. 75k tickets have been sold for the game, meaning sold out, and thus it will be a good battle also in the stands.
