Italian report claims Milan and Barcelona are trailing Inter in race for €50m midfielder

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan remain in the running to land Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, a report claims, but they are currently behind rivals Inter and Juventus.

The Rossoneri have been repeatedly linked with a move for Tonali over the past few weeks as they look for a long-term midfield partner for Ismael Bennacer.

According to a report from FcInterNews though, it is in fact Inter and Juventus who are leading the race at the moment, but neither the Nerazzurri nor Bianconeri want to pay the €50million asking price. Instead, they want to pay €30-35m in cash and will insert counterparts.

The report also mentions that Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are in the race, but Inter may have an advantage as Brescia like their 20-year-old Belgian midfielder Xian Emmers.

A few weeks back, Sandro Tonali confirmed that he is a Rossoneri fan just as the rumours of a move there had started to gather steam.
