Journalist aims dig at Donnarumma over renewal saga: “He’s no longer 15-years-old”

Gigio Donnarumma’s rise to the top of the goalkeeping pedestal has been swift and steady. The 22-year-old Italian has established himself as one of the world’s best after making his debut for Milan aged just 16 years and 242 days.

The talk of his contract renewal process has been making headlines for quite some time now, given that it expires at the end of the current Serie A season – on June 30 2021.

Fabrizio Biasin, the renowned Italian journalist who is also an Inter Milan fan, spoke to CalcioMercato.it (via MilanLive) and made his thoughts known on the Donnarumma contract saga. He said it is high time the goalkeeper reveals what his intentions are.

“Donnarumma is no longer 15-years-old, now he is 22, and he should start telling us what he would like to do when he grows up,” said Biasin.

Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester United have all appeared as transfer destinations but there is one club with a ‘hypothetical’ interest, according to the journalist.

“It is true that every club has monitored his situation. When there is no agreement, it may have happened that Inter is informed, but the percentages of Donnarumma at Inter are zero,” he concluded.

Donnarumma has broken numerous records already and there is little doubt he will continue to do so in Rossoneri colours, given that he has made almost 250 caps – being just 22 years old.
