Journalist believes Ibrahimovic could announce Milan return on December 13

By Oliver Fisher -

Journalist Carlo Pellegatti believes that Zlatan Ibrahimovic may announce his return to AC Milan in just over a week.

The Rossoneri continue to be linked with a move to bring the striker back to the club in the January transfer window, with his decision set to arrive in the coming days.

The latest report from La Gazzetta dello Sport suggested that there are positive feelings from the Milan leadership regarding his return, with an offer of a six-month deal on the table that could become 18 months.

Milan are in dire need of both firepower and leadership, having netted just 13 times in the opening 14 games of the season, with Krzysztof Piatek and Rafael Leao both struggling massively for form.

Now, Carlo Pellegatti has offered his take on the situation via his YouTube channel, and even went as far as to mention a potential arrival date for Ibra which would have significance.

“The wait for Ibra continues. It is no longer the expectation of a player, but of something that the fans want,” he said (via MilanNews.it).

“I read a sentence by the Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard who said: ‘The wait is like an arrow that catches the target, but the realisation of the wait goes beyond the center of the target’.

“I imagined what the day will be when Ibra will announces his arrival in Italy, let’s hope for Milan. December 13, Saint Lucia Day.

“It represents special day in Italy but also in the Scandinavian countries. It is the day of gifts. Ibra has perhaps chosen precisely December 13th to announce his return and Milan-Sassuolo is on the 15th, and is the party of 120 years of Milan.

“Maybe he chose symbolically on December 13, the day of gifts and giving.”
