AC Milan are always on the lookout for talents on the mercato, thanks to Geoffrey Moncada and his scouting network, and the latest name on their radar is Facundo Gonzalez. In fact, they are serious in their pursuit.
Gonzalez currently plays for Valencia’s reserve team but he has been an important player for Uruguay and their U20 side. They recently won the U20 World Cup after beating Italy 1-0 in the final and Gonzalez played the game from start to finish.
According to the journalist Salva Gomis, Milan are in the race for the young centre-back and ‘want to win’. A few other Serie A teams have also expressed their interest in the 20-year-old, who has an Italian passport, but the Rossoneri are determined.
Gonzalez has one year left on his contract with Valencia and there could thus be an opening for Milan. Of course, he would be a signing for the future rather than the present, but he would be a great addition to the Primavera side now.
left footed center back?! Exactly what Milan have been missing since Romagnoli. very important for Pioli’s style of play
