AC Milan are preparing for what will be a very busy schedule after the international break, needing all hands on deck from start to finish. As such, it could be the perfect opportunity for Luka Jovic.
As highlighted by our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, the next month will be incredibly tough for Milan. Juventus, PSG and Napoli in just seven days, for example, and the rest of the games are not easy either (PSG one more time, for instance).
Stefano Pioli knows that to cope with this schedule, he will have to rely on all of his players. For this reason, it’s reasonable to think that Luka Jovic will get more than one opportunity and he must seize them all.
The Serbian and Olivier Giroud are the only ‘proper’ No.9s in the squad, and the Frenchman cannot play every game from start. After all, Milan signed him to play and not just to fill a spot on the bench.
After the game against Genoa, Pioli said the following about Jovic: “He knows how to play football, he showed it today too. He needs trust, he’s finding it here. Here, those who give 100% get 200%. He is strong, he will grow and give us satisfaction.”
Milan is waiting for Jovic, but they are also taking care to make him understand that they have confidence in him. Hopefully, he will seize the opportunities after the break.
