CM: ‘Revive a negotiation’ – Juventus refusing to give up Tomori dream despite setback

In the past few days, it has been suggested that Fikayo Tomori will not leave AC Milan in the January mercato, despite Juventus’ persistence, and the Bianconeri are not done yet.

Under Paulo Fonseca, Tomori’s Milan chapter had been written, and his next chapter was seemingly in black and white with a deal progressing positively between the two clubs. However, with the Portuguese’s sacking, any possible deal stalled.

Sergio Conceicao reportedly wanted to make his own assessments of the squad and with Tomori playing both games in the Supercoppa, the Englishman may have been given a chance to restart his current situation.

This effectively stopped any chances of a Juventus move happening in January. Whilst the defender was not made ‘not for sale’, the price which the Rossoneri would accept to part ways has changed, so a move to the Old Lady looks difficult.

Nevertheless, Calciomercato.com have reported that their interest in Tomori will not stop. In fact, the club are still determined to ‘return to the attack’ and bring Thiago Motta the defender despite the setback they have experienced.

It seems that the club are looking to ‘revive’ negotiations as soon as possible, and contact will take place to see if there are any chances of the defender moving.

  1. Maybe before giving up on him, Conceicao should try him again as RB like he did in the last part of the Juve game. Positioning which Tomori often doesn’t get right as CB, is less complicated for a RB (narrower region of the field) where speed is important, and Tomori is speedy. He’d need to learn the position but that’s more likely to happen than hoping that Emerson will improve. OK, if that doesn’t happen and Tomori does depart, at least I hope it won’t be to a rival.

  2. I believe neither the player or Milan wants that move. If at the end of the season Juve buys Kalulu it means that the transfer is good for them, means bad for Milan. Why would Milan do the same mistake.
And for Yomori, Milan is planning to buy Tammy, his best teammate, if anything it would push him to stay.
Unless Milan wants to upgrade that position, Tomori is one of the best we got.

  3. I hope Conceicao noticed the mistakes. Tomori is 27 and has had one good season in his career. €20 million is a fair price.

  4. Tomori Vlahovic exchange would be good for both sides. We need a good proper CF and he is one of the best. Under Conceicao disciple he will do great alongside Pulisic and Leao.

    1. Vlahovic still has a high value. Tomori & Kalulu for Vlahovic is a fair deal, but Juve don’t have any center forwards so I doubt they’ll consider letting him go unless they get a replacement. Of course, we could give them Jovic.

    2. What are you smoking? Vlahovic has 4 times the salary tomori does.
And why would he leave juve?
And since when does Milan pay 22M gross salaries?
      And he’s overrated anyway.

  5. 18 months left on his contract so his transfer value won’t be as high but his wages are. Juve is offering him to foreign clubs to avoid losing him for cheap. He would be great signing for us. We’ve been missing someone like him since Ibra left in his prime to PSG.
