Kalulu praises ‘fantastic’ Milan fans and makes intentions clear: “We have to win”

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of tonight’s clash between Atalanta and Milan at Gewiss Stadium, Pierre Kalulu spoke to the media about the importance of the game. As we know, Champions League is on the line for the Rossoneri.

Stefano Pioli and his men most likely need all three points this evening as Napoli and Juventus will take on Hellas Verona and Bologna respectively. Far from an easy task, in other words, as Atalanta have been in good form lately.

In an interview with MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, Kalulu was asked about the game and the support of the fans. The Frenchman has played an important role this season, doing well when injuries hit the team hard, but he won’t start tonight.

On the warmth of the fans at Milanello…

“The fans were fantastic this morning. I felt fantastic vibes inside me. It was great.”

On their preparation this week…

“This week was as important as the others. We know tonight’s game is different and we will try to have a great match.”

On the charm of a game like this…

“For the fans, these matches are beautiful to watch and for us to play. We know it is an important match and we have to win.”

The game will kick off at 20:45 CEST, which is 30 minutes from now, and it will be very nerve-wracking for all the Milan fans watching on at home. Hopefully, they will have a win to celebrate at the end of the evening.
