GdS: Kessie decision imminent due to FIFA rules – Spurs, PSG and Man Utd willing to offer €8m

By Oliver Fisher -

There appears to be three potential options on the table for Franck Kessie as his future seems to be away from Milan, according to a report.

According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) reports that there could be an imminent decision on Kessie’s future because if he does not renew his contract with Milan, he will have to make clear his decision regarding his next club.

That is because the new FIFA rules on transfers oblige the clubs that secure players on a pre-contract ahead of a free transfer to communicate the agreement prior to the club currently owns the player, so in this case Milan.

By the end of January, Kessie will let Milan know where he intends to move. Three options for his future seem to be on the table at the moment as the idea of a move to PSG remains alive, with director Leonardo an admirer of the Ivorian.

Then there are two Premier League clubs including Manchester United – who want him as Pogba’s heir – and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham, with the ex-Inter boss having wanted him during his time at the Nerazzurri. These are all clubs able to guarantee Kessie the €8m net per season Kessie wants.
