AC Milan have not yet given up hope regarding Franck Kessie’s renewal but the situation does not seem to be moving forward currently, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
There is currently a cloud hanging over Kessie and it is because of two reasons. The first is related to his contract, which expires at the end of the season and the Ivorian does not appear any closer to renewing which means he may well be the latest player to walk away from the Rossoneri on a free transfer.
The second reason is related to his performances, as many feel he has now shown the right levels to be demanding the salary that he is, with several errors this season including one in the build-up for the third goal during the 3-1 defeat to Sassuolo on Sunday.
Speaking on Sky (via MilanNews), Gianluca Di Marzio spoke about the renewal situation as follows: “Milan will try and do everything to renew Kessiè, but the situation is the same as a few weeks ago, there is still a considerable distance.”

I am hoping Maldini and Massara are also looking at his serious decline of form.
