Pellegatti: ‘Totally uncomfortable’ Kessie wants Milan return – the Rossoneri’s stance

By Oliver Fisher -

Franck Kessie is not having the best of times at Barcelona and would welcome a return to AC Milan, according to a journalist.

Carlo Pellegatti spoke on his YouTube channel yesterday to reveal the information that he has received regarding Kessie wanting to come back to Milan, and now he has given some more information in an editorial for MilanNews.

He states that the Ivorian is ‘totally uncomfortable in the role of substitute’ at Barca so far under Xavi Hernandez, and he has ‘confessed to friends that his desire is to return to Milan, on loan of course’.

Pellegatti describes it as a ‘fairly well-founded’ rumour, but he does not believe that Kessie’s desire can be satisfied because Milan ‘deems the matter closed’ after they submitted a contract renewal offer to him last season that they deemed to be a fair reflection of his value, but he chose to walk away and try a new experience.

  1. These tears taste very nice. He could have signed the contract, played this season and been stellar, and then asked for more with even more evidence behind him, and possibly propelled Milan even further, meaning more money in the coffers to offer. It WAS a win-win, but now their career is stagnating on a bench with no more evidence of them playing brilliantly. Sad decision to go. They should have stayed.

  2. Sad to see his story become a cautionary tale to others. He could have been a Milan legend and instead will be a footnote to Milan’s European resurgence. Leao should take note, he can get more money elsewhere but could also easily find himself out of favor and relegated to the bench on a club such as the ones reported to be interested in him.

  3. I hope Milan can loan out Adli and loan in Kessie. It’s will be win-win solution. Kessie get the wage that he want and Milan can play him without paying as much as he wanted

    1. Milan will still pay him as much as he wanted. For 6 months loan deal Milan will have to pay him the remaining part of his salary, which is 3.25 mil.

Nope. It depends entirely on what the parent club agrees to.

        1. I get what you are saying but, Barcelona can barely pay the players that play for them. They are not going to pay part of Kessie’s salary for him to play for another club.
Milan is paying Dest’s full salary

  4. Leao can be come Ac Milan legend, and sign contract with company for his commercial revenue, but his agent, family do the same like Kessie did. Milan offered excellent money to Leao, Kessie as well. That’s Why Ac must think about themselves and revenue from player sale.

  5. If Milan can make it happen , they should. Kessie left a huge hole in that midfield that Tonali and Bennacer together have not been able to fill. He protected that defense which has been exposed this season, and Milan who used to dominate the midfield is now getting bossed by teams like Fiorentina. Kessie is a unique physical talent that is very hard to replace. Both sides should swallow their pride and make it happen.

    1. Milan should negotiate the return of Kessie, and loan out Adli. Milan needs Kessie for the remaining period, to win the league title. Leao should learn from this and sign or be sold too, and a replacement bought.

Milan brought out the best in Kessie but Barca demystified him. Painful to watch Ex- Mr President of Milan dreaded by other teams running around aimlessly in Barca shirt .

      1. President of what? Have you ever heard anyone but him say he is called like that? Good that he left, hope he never sees the Milan shirt agaib.

  7. I doubt this will ever happen – but – If we can get him back on loan and have Barca pay the majority of his remaining salary then we should do it. It’s business it’s not personal. Those that are crying that we should never take him back are naive. He didn’t go to Inter like Hakan. It’s all about winning and under the right economic conditions (in our favor) we should bring him back as he would help us win another Scudetto and he fills a huge need while giving the younger players more time to develop. Again, only IF the deal is to our favor, otherwise forget it. Everyone sits on their high horse thinking they are morally superior to another man because he wanted more $$. There is nothing wrong with that. Some times it works out and sometimes it doesn’t – it’s up to each individual to chose his own path. No hard feelings with Kessie. He gave his all and helped us win our first title in many many years. He wanted to try a new experience that’s fine. His only mistake was teasing the fans that he would stay. We all make mistakes. Move on

That’s where you’re wrong. Again. Money isn’t everything in life. To you maybe it is. But it really shouldn’t. Even Tonali knows it. 😉

  8. I actually wouldn’t mind getting him back. He was always professional until the end of his Milan career. He helped Milan a lot and for some periods was the most important player. He is a leader and a dominant player in defence.
