Franck Kessie is pushing for a move to Barcelona and the Catalan side are ready to step up their interest in him, according to a report.
There is a lot of attention on Kessie currently, given that the Ivorian has just a few months left on his contract which expires in June 2022 and he appears to be far away from renewing. There is also the belief from some that his level of performances have not been close to as consistent as last season suggesting his mind may be elsewhere.
According to journalist Matteo Moretto (formerly of Sky) on Twitter, Barcelona are planning to speak to Kessié’s agent in the coming weeks and will try to overtake the Premier League teams that are interested in him.
What is at the moment just simple interest may soon turn into something more concrete, especially because the player for his part ‘really wants’ to join the Blaugrana.
