Unbeaten league run and Leao’s landmark: All the key stats from Milan’s win against Fiorentina

AC Milan left it late but they got the job done at San Siro this afternoon beating Fiorentina 1-0 thanks to Rafael Leao’s goal inside the final nine minutes.

The result means that Milan remain top of the league with three games to go and they now need 7 points to capture the Scudetto. Below are the best stats from the game, courtesy of the official website

➤ Milan have won two consecutive Serie A home games for the first time in 2022. The last time the Rossoneri had achieved at least two successive wins at San Siro was between August and October 2021 (five).

➤  For the first time in the league this season, Milan have gone unbeaten for 13 games in a row (W8, D5).

➤ For the first time since March 2019, Milan have not conceded a goal in four consecutive home matches in Serie A.

➤ Rafael Leão has reached double figures for goals in one of the ‘top five’ European leagues for the first time in his career.

➤ Leao is the first AC Milan player to score at least eight goals at home in a single Serie A season since Carlos Bacca (nine in 2016-17).

➤ Rafael Leão has become the fifth Portuguese player to score ten or more goals in a single Serie A campaign, after Cristiano Ronaldo, Rui Barros, Rui Costa and Beto. He is the only one to have achieved this feat before turning 23.
