Kjaer praises Tomori and fuels Milan: “Throwing everything away would be a shame”

By Isak Möller -

Milan will take on Lazio in less than 15 minutes and they need to come away with all three points as both Atalanta and Napoli won their games. Simon Kjaer will be tasked with leading the defensive line this evening.

The Dane is one of the leaders in the team and will start alongside Fikayo Tomori in this game. The latter has made a few costly errors recently and he will need to pick himself up so that Milan can avoid conceding silly goals.

In an interview with MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, Kjaer spoke about the game and what it means in terms of the Champions League race, which is extremely tight. He also shared his thoughts on the partnership with Tomori.

First direct clash for the Champions League…

“We have prepared well, we are optimistic. We only think about now, mentality-wise nothing changes. It has been a long day but we are finally here at the stadium and soon we can take the field. The pressure, the possibility of achieving something as a team is at the maximum. Now throwing everything away would be a shame.”

On tonight’s challenge…

“We take one game at a time and we have to give our all every time. They also need to win to stay in line with their goals today. It will be a good match, we have quality and we are doing well.”

On Tomori…

“I’m very comfortable with him, there aren’t many like him in Italy, so aggressive and fast. Our understanding is improving, and that’s what’s important in a pair of centre-backs.”

A win this evening will be absolutely crucial as both Napoli and Juventus are on the same amount of points as things stand. But it won’t be easy, with maximum concentration needed from the lads.

  1. With heavy heart I would say this team cannot win right now they don’t attack as effectively as they should attack needs an overhaul.😢💔

  2. I have given up…the players have no fight in them at all. They don’t fight hard enough for anything….AC Milan no longer exists as it was, the players just don’t understand what it means to fight for the jersey

  3. Desperata och överskattade spelare som lekar tuffa killar, desutomm spenderar en lång historia som många legender hade byggt ryktet om AC Milan.
Spelare utan vilja och talang på toppen med Pioli😡😡😡

  4. Bye bye UCL, and for the worst say goodbye also to Europa League next season. And also Dollaruma and Hakan Nothingtodo will also move out.
