There is yet another injury blow for Stefano Pioli to contend with as Simon Kjaer will miss tomorrow’s game against Salernitana, a report claims.
According to Sky journalist Peppe Di Stefano (via MilanNews), Kjaer will not travel with the team to Salerno and will therefore not be available tomorrow for the game at the Stadio Arechi to begin 2022.
The Danish centre-back is carrying out individual work at the moment and will therefore remain at Milanello, having not left with the rest of the team at 16:00.
Kjaer has to do some physical work to get back to the best condition, having missed two of Denmark’s three World Cup games due to developing muscle fatigue.
He joins the likes of Fode Ballo-Toure, Mike Maignan, Rade Krunic, Alessandro Florenzi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Divock Origi and Ante Rebic on the list of players not available for the game in Salerno to kick off 2023.
