Kjaer expects ‘tough’ Monza clash and assures he is ‘fine’ amid recovery

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of the clash between AC Milan and Monza, Simon Kjaer spoke to the media about his condition and the general feeling. The Dane is back from start after recovering from his injury.

Kjaer hasn’t played since the game against Empoli due to a hamstring injury but he has now recovered from the issue. In tonight’s clash against Monza, he will give Matteo Gabbia some much-needed rest.

In an interview with MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, the centre-back spoke about the game and what his condition is like. He made it clear that he has been feeling well for quite some time now, thus not thrown into the action.

How are you, how are you feeling?

“I’m fine, I’ve been fine for some time. Now I’m available, I’m happy to be ready.”

Did a week of work without midweek matches help you?

“It has been a busy week. We have worked on various things, we are ready ”.

On today’s match…

“Definitely a tough match, against an opponent who has improved a lot and who definitely wants to come to San Siro to get a result. Our goal tonight is to play a tough game for them in front of our fans and bring the three points home.”

Milan will be looking to build on their positive trend in the league, on three consecutive wins, and also apply some pressure on Napoli who will play tomorrow. A win tonight would mean they are equal on points at the top of the table.
